India Unveils New Light Tank

India has unveiled its new light combat tank, “Zorawar,” developed in a remarkably short period of less than two years.

This new light combat vehicle is a joint effort between the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Larsen & Toubro (L&T), specifically designed to counter threats from China in high-altitude areas.

Zorawar is the first tank to be designed and prepared for trials within such a brief timeframe. Its amphibious capabilities allow it to navigate steep terrains in mountainous regions and cross rivers and other water bodies.

Additionally, these amphibious tanks can be deployed across riverine areas, where Indian forces have stationed a significant number of tanks to counter the Chinese presence.
