BAE Systems has delivered 400 advanced two-colour Common Missile Warning Systems (2CAWS) to the US Army as part of the Limited Interim Missile Warning System (LIMWS) programme.
These aircraft protection systems are designed to safeguard key helicopter platforms, enhancing their ability to detect and counter complex missile threats in hostile environments.
This advanced system integrates modern multispectral sensors, a high-speed digital architecture, and machine-learning algorithms to identify threats and deploy countermeasures in real-time with high accuracy.
The 2CAWS system improves crew survivability by providing fast, precise missile threat warnings, boosting the helicopters’ defensive capabilities in challenging conditions.
