China has introduced a state-of-the-art armoured vehicle equipped with anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs), built on the VN21 platform. This four-wheel-drive vehicle features a retractable turret with two sets of four missile launchers.
The turret can be retracted into the vehicle’s hull for added protection and stealth during transit, significantly enhancing its survivability and operational flexibility.
The VN21 platform, the foundation of this new anti-tank vehicle, is a Mine-Resistant Ambush-Protected (MRAP) vehicle designed for high durability and mobility in hostile environments. As an MRAP, the VN21 offers reinforced protection against improvised explosive devices (IEDs), landmines, and ambush tactics, making it an optimal choice for both conventional and asymmetrical warfare scenarios.
