Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Monday received Tugay Tuncer, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the UAE, in the presence of Mattar Salem Al Dhaheri, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, and several officials from the ministry and the visiting delegation.
Al Bowardi welcomed Tuncer and stressed the profound ties between the two friendly countries in all areas, most notably in defence. He noted the importance of consolidating their relations.
During the meeting, both sides discussed ways of strengthening their defence and military cooperation to serve the interests of both countries, and exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Tuncer lauded the UAE’s process of development and congratulated it on its golden jubilee, highlighting Turkey’s keenness to boost bilateral ties with the UAE and open new prospects of joint cooperation.
