Dubai AI Festival 2025 kicks off on April 23

Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, the Dubai AI Festival will take place on April 23-24, 2025, at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai.

Organised by Dubai AI Campus, in collaboration with the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and the UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office, the festival aims to explore AI’s transformative impact across industries. This follows the success of last year’s inaugural edition, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global leader in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.

A Pivotal Event in Dubai AI Week

As a key highlight of Dubai AI Week, aligned with Sheikh Hamdan’s vision, the festival will bring together global AI leaders, policymakers, and innovators. Discussions will centre on AI advancements, investment opportunities, and regulatory frameworks shaping the future of artificial intelligence.

The Growing Influence of AI

AI is poised to revolutionise the global economy, with recent reports projecting a $15.7 trillion contribution by 2030, including $320 billion in the Middle East. In the UAE alone, the AI market is expected to reach $46.33 billion by 2033, while the machine learning sector is set to expand to $2.41 billion.

Experts anticipate that by 2026, over 80% of companies will adopt AI-driven decision-making, marking a major shift in business operations.

Additionally, Dubai AI Campus is set for substantial growth, expanding to over 100,000 square feet, accommodating 500+ AI-focused companies, generating 3,000+ jobs, and attracting $300 million in investments by 2028.

Key Themes and Ethical Considerations

The Dubai AI Festival 2025 will address responsible AI use, transparency, and the future of work, providing attendees with data-driven insights into AI’s societal and economic impact. Ethical concerns, particularly regarding the rapid integration of AI, will be a key focus.

Arif Amiri, CEO of DIFC, highlighted the significance of the event, stating: “We are proud to host one of the key events of Dubai AI Week, reflecting our commitment to positioning Dubai as a global technology hub. The festival will accelerate responsible AI adoption across business, government, and society.”

A Global Platform for Innovation and Investment

In line with Dubai’s vision for innovation and economic growth, the festival will welcome 8,000+ industry leaders, policymakers, and AI pioneers from over 100 countries, fostering collaboration and investment in AI and emerging technologies.

The event will also feature a dynamic AI exhibition, showcasing cutting-edge innovations and a startup showcase, where emerging companies will present solutions to potential investors.

Moreover, the Future Tech World Cup will spotlight the top AI startups, connecting them with global investors looking for the next big breakthrough. The Global Innovation Programme for Future Technology will further nurture young talent, encouraging AI-driven solutions to real-world challenges.

By combining exhibitions, discussions, and competitions, the Dubai AI Festival will serve as a catalyst for the next wave of AI advancements, driving global cooperation and investment in transformative technologies.
