H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, has inaugurated the Al Taf missile boat during a ceremony held at the Marina pier of ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, as part of the Naval Defence and Maritime Security Exhibition (NAVDEX 2025).
During his tour of the 62-metre-long vessel, H.H. Sheikh Hazza received a comprehensive briefing on its advanced defence capabilities and cutting-edge technologies. These include state-of-the-art navigation and surveillance systems, integrated protection systems against surface and aerial threats, sophisticated electronic warfare capabilities, automated control systems, and next-generation smart weaponry. These features significantly enhance the vessel’s adaptability and combat readiness across various operational environments.
Sheikh Hazza highlighted that the Al Taf missile boat represents a strategic enhancement to the UAE Armed Forces’ naval defence capabilities. With its advanced technologies and high operational efficiency, the vessel strengthens the UAE Navy’s readiness and effectiveness in executing diverse missions and operational tasks.
He also praised the remarkable progress of the UAE’s naval defence industry, made possible through the steadfast support of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Sheikh Hazza reaffirmed the importance of continuous investment in defence system development and the expansion of strategic partnerships to bolster the UAE’s leadership in this vital sector.
