British company BAE Systems has revealed an upgraded version of its 40 mm Bofors gun, code-named Tridon Mk2, as a new anti-drone system that can be integrated into trucks.
The system features night and day sensors, a fire control system, and the gun itself, requiring a crew of three soldiers (commander, driver, and operator) inside the truck cabin to operate.
The Tridon Mk2 can fire 300 rounds per minute but carries only 100 rounds ready for immediate use.
Furthermore, it is designed to target a wide range of drone sizes and can counter swarming aerial threats.
