Beijing has constructed the largest maritime radar in history, and according to Chinese scientists, this new radar will shift the balance of naval power in the world’s oceans, enhancing China’s naval capabilities.
This development comes amid reports indicating China’s surpassing of the United States in terms of naval assets, making it the largest naval power in the world.
The radar has the capability to detect long-range missile penetrations from a distance of up to 4,500 kilometres, in addition to tracking multiple targets within a range of up to 3,500 kilometres.
Chinese experts believe that strengthening the maritime radar’s power will enhance their ability to detect potential threats posed by enemy ships and aircraft at an early stage.
