The Chinese Navy has acquired the 8th Type-055 naval destroyer, after adding the first Type-055 destroyer to service in January 2020.
Each Type-055 destroyer is 183 meters long and 20 meters wide, can carry a crew of 300, sail at a speed of 30 knots and travel 5,000 nautical miles per mission.
These ships are armed with HQ-26 missiles similar to the American SM-3 missiles, HQ-9B anti-air missiles, and YJ-18A anti-ship missiles, as well as 130 mm cannons, HQ-10 missiles for close combat engagement, and torpedo launch systems.
