China has unveiled a new radar system designed to counter stealth aircraft, designated as Type 610B.
The detailed specifications and performance of the radar remain classified. The radar unit is called LCG610 and measures 12,000 x 2,500 x 3,520 mm with a weight of 49 tons.
The Type 610B system is classified as an early warning air defence radar, designed to counter fourth-generation missile threats.
Tailored for detecting fighter aircraft, including stealth aircraft, the system’s primary function is remote early warning.
Type 610B has the capability to track tactical ballistic missiles and nearby space targets, making it a valuable asset for air defence operations.
