The French company, Thales, has announced that it had received a confirmed order from the French Defense Procurement Agency (DGA) for an additional 21 TALIOS electronic devices to equip the Rafale aircraft currently operating with the French Air Force, Aerospace and Navy.
These devices will enable the Rafale to perform aerial reconnaissance and ground/surface attack missions, in addition to giving it extensive search and target identification capability, as well as the ability to switch instantly to target identification and tracking mode.
Its high-resolution sensors provide a colored image of the tactical situation to simplify the tasks of Rafale pilots. Thales has also developed a new permanent view mode, which superimposes real-time video on a 3D map of the operational environment, enabling aircrews to observe and understand the tactical situation in a significantly shorter time.
