France Tests Unmanned Helicopter VSR700

Airbus Helicopters, together with French company Naval Group, the French Navy and the French General Directorate of Armaments, have successfully tested the takeoff ability of the first prototype of the VSR700 unmanned helicopter from a French multi-purpose frigate.

The VSR700 is a versatile unmanned aerial system designed to meet modern naval force requirements in a highly competitive environment, according to Airbus Helicopters.

With a design based on helicopters, this drone is intended to serve as a reconnaissance and combat drone in the French Navy.

Moreover, it is equipped with Naval Group’s I4Drones mission system, which has also been commissioned to integrate the system aboard military vessels.
