India Launches Third Anti-Submarine Warfare Ship

India celebrated the launch of its third ASW SWC type anti-submarine warfare (ASW) ship into the water. The Indian Navy plans to acquire a total of 16 ships of this class.
Each of the new ASW SWC ships has a length of 77.6 metres, a width of 10.5 metres, and a displacement of 900 tons. These ships are capable of reaching a speed of 25 knots and covering a range of 1,800 nautical miles in each mission.

These ships are equipped with RBU-6000 missile and bomb launching systems, 324mm torpedoes, anti-ship mines, 30mm guns, 12.7mm machine guns, and remotely operated OFT M2 combat systems.
