India Successfully Tests Rudram-II Air-to-Surface Missile

India has taken a significant step in advancing its defence capabilities with the successful test of the Rudram-II air-to-surface missile.

Launched from a Su-30MKI fighter jet, the Rudram-II represents a substantial improvement over its predecessor, the Rudram-I, and is designed for a range of anti-radiation missions.

The development of Rudram-II is part of India’s broader effort to reduce reliance on foreign defence technologies. This missile aims to bolster the Indian Air Force’s arsenal with advanced anti-radiation capabilities.

Using this project, India aims to not only enhance its defensive posture but also to assert its independence and expertise in high-tech missile technology.

With its extended capabilities and advanced technology, the Rudram-II is set to become a crucial component of India’s defence strategy.
