The Russian Navy applies new tactical methods in the use of modern minesweepers, and these sweepers have a modern set of weapons, and Russian sailors consider them to be ships of the 21st century. Perhaps the most famous of them is the minesweeper “Yakov Balyaev”, whose captain considers his ship to be one of the best ships in the world in its class in terms of its tactical capabilities, weapons and speed.
The technical means available in “Yakov Balyaev” allow it not only to detect underwater mines, but also to classify them and receive their photographs in order to decide how to destroy them.
