The Russian armoured personnel carrier BTR-90 “Rostok” has been observed participating in Russian offensive operations near the town of Avdiivka, Ukraine.
Designed to replace other BTR-series armoured vehicles, the BTR-90 underwent rigorous field testing before entering limited service with the Russian Army.
The vehicle boasts robust armour protection, including mine-resistant armour, and weighs 22,000 kg.
As for weaponry, it comes equipped with a 30mm rapid-fire autocannon, 7.62mm PKT machine gun, AGS-17 30mm automatic grenade launcher, and Konkurs-M anti-tank missiles.
