Russia Tests Rapira-2 Anti-Drone System

The Russian military has announced the successful live-fire tests of its latest anti-drone system, the “Rapira-2.”

This new system represents a significant advancement in Russia’s air defence capabilities, addressing the growing threat of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

The Rapira-2 is mounted on the AMN-590951 “Spartak,” a versatile armoured vehicle developed for the Streit Group and already used by Russian armed forces in various missions.

Moreover, the enhanced mobility provided by the Spartak allows for rapidly deploying the Rapira-2 system in diverse environments.

Equipped with advanced radar and electro-optical systems, the Rapira-2 is capable of detecting, tracking, and neutralising small aerial targets, including suicide drones and UAVs.
