The Russian Army’s Air Force has recently acquired the new Mi-26T2V helicopter, an advanced variant of the renowned Mi-26 aircraft.
Developed at the request of Russia’s Ministry of Defence, this Mi-26T2V version comes equipped with sophisticated new electronic systems.
These systems enable automated flight along preset routes, allowing the helicopter to automatically adjust its path mid-air and perform pre-landing maneuvers and diversion to alternate airports without pilot input.
Additionally, the helicopter has defenses against guided missiles and anti-aircraft weapons. It also contains upgraded night vision equipment and navigation and communications systems for connecting with satellites.
