South Korea’s Defence Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) has announced plans to commence large-scale production of the new Chungum tactical guided missiles from 2024 to 2031.
The Chungum missiles are expected to replace the American TOW anti-tank missiles currently in the Korean Army’s arsenal.
Chungum represents a developed and designed guided missile intended for deployment from light attack helicopters and ground platforms.
Reports indicate that Egypt has conducted national tests on the Chungum missile, suggesting that it may soon start large-scale imports.
