The US has developed a new Virginia-class submarine through the General Dynamics Electric Boat Corporation, which recently organized an event to celebrate the manufacturing process of the new multi-purpose nuclear submarine called the USS Arizona for the US Navy.
The USS Arizona is the first of the new Virginia Flight V-class submarines developed for the US military.
The US military is scheduled to get a total of 10 submarines of this new class, which boast vertical missile launchers and can carry more missiles compared to the current Virginia class submarines.
The new submarine is 140 meters long, has a water displacement rate of 10,200 tons, and will be equipped with winged Tomahawk missiles, anti-ship Harpoon missiles, and 533 mm torpedoes.
