Turkey Unveils New TF-2000 Air Defence Destroyer

Turkey’s Ministry of Defence has introduced the TF-2000, a state-of-the-art destroyer designed to enhance Turkey’s naval defence capabilities and address current and future security challenges in the surrounding seas.

With a displacement of 8,300 tonnes, a length of 149 metres, a beam of 21.3 metres, and a draft of 5.75 metres, the TF-2000 is built for robust performance. The vessel reaches speeds of over 26 knots and can carry a crew of 180 to 210, with a total capacity of up to 240 personnel.

Engineered for advanced air defence, the TF-2000 is equipped to detect, track, and neutralise a range of aerial threats, including missiles, drones, and aircraft, marking a significant addition to Turkey’s maritime security forces.
