Turkish defence manufacturer Aselsan has revealed the short-range air defence system “Gurz”.
Similar to the well-known Russian Pantsir-S system, this system combines missiles and anti-aircraft guns to counter unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and helicopters.
The Gurz system is based on an 8×8 wheeled vehicle platform and is designed to combat UAVs and helicopters.
This defence system consists of a 35mm anti-aircraft gun, 4 very short-range anti-aircraft missiles, 4 short-range anti-aircraft missiles, an Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) phased-array search radar, a fire control radar, electro-optical sensors, and a data link.
