The Turkish Navy has received the first batch of the amphibious assault tank, the MAV Zaha, marking a historic step that significantly enhances its offensive capabilities at sea.
This delivery is part of a strategy to develop the naval fleet and these advanced tanks are manufactured by FNSS Savunma Sistemleri, a leading Turkish company in military vehicle manufacturing.
The Zaha tanks boast superior capabilities both on land and in water, providing high levels of ballistic protection and mine resistance.
With a maximum speed of 70 km/h on land and 7 knots in water, they are designed to accommodate a crew of three, including a commander, driver, and gunner. Additionally, they can carry 21 additional soldiers.
