The American-made WindRunner transport aircraft is set to become the largest in the world, capable of carrying six F-16 Fighting Falcon jets or six CH-47 Chinook helicopters without removing their rotors.
The WindRunner measures approximately 108 metres in length, 24 metres in height, and has a wingspan of 80 metres, making it larger than many existing heavy military transport aircraft.
Moreover, the WindRunner can carry a maximum of 72.5 tonnes, which is less than the Russian Antonov 225, capable of transporting up to 247 tonnes, and the Antonov 124, with a payload of 150 tonnes.
Furthermore, the WindRunner’s maximum range with a full load is 2,000 kilometres, shorter than that of other heavy military transport aircraft.
