UAE became a global exemplary model in developing approaches and proactive mechanisms and applications that enhancing the country’s excellence in global competitiveness indicators, stemming from untiring efforts of skilled government working teams and based on new sectors development approaches to enhance the next 50 years preparation efforts.
According to global competitiveness annual Yearbook 2020, UAE ranked first in the world in key indicators, such as:
Absence of bureaucracy in government work index, public and private sectors partnership index, labor market index, Female representation in the parliament – within “government competencies” axis.
The country also ranked second worldwide in:
Government expenditure on education per student indicator and air transportation quality indicator – within infrastructure axes.
Usage of big data and analysis tools by private companies – within business efficiency axis.
UAE also recorded an improvement to fourth place in the world in:
Economic axis, National culture axis, UAE image outside axis.
UAE also enhanced its position on global innovation indicator 2020, where she maintains first place in Arab world for the fifth year on row, and was advanced 2 centers in the general global classification for this year.
UAE became the first country in the world in which the number of COVID 19 tests registered has exceeded the number of population, and the fifth country worldwide having 150 stories high-rise buildings and above.
These achievements took place, while public life in other countries is interrupted during “Global Health Crisis Year”, and UAE was and still embedding its accomplishments as per global competitiveness indicators in different comprehensive development sectors, and all innovative work teams aspire to achieve highest and best results in the year of preparation for the next 50.
