Britain and Japan are developing a new version of the horrific European air-to-air missile “Meteor”, which can destroy targets beyond the horizon. The new version will be equipped with an active radar seeker of the EASA class instead of the seeker with which the missile is equipped currently.
The “Meteor” is currently considered one of the best air-to-air missiles in the world with the longest range among air-to-air missiles, estimated at 70 to 90 km, and a confirmed range of 170 km.
With the new Japanese EASA seeker, the missile will acquire a very formidable technological ability, making it difficult to jam or evade.
