The United Arab Emirates, a global leader in various sectors, has consistently embraced ambitious initiatives that shape the future. Since its inception, the nation has followed a clear path of innovation and progress, resulting in its leadership across multiple fields, including fire protection and safety.
Building on this commitment, Dubai Civil Defence has launched the groundbreaking “1 Billion Readiness” initiative, the world’s largest fire safety awareness program. Set to run from 2025 to 2027, the initiative aims to train and educate one billion people worldwide on fire prevention measures.
This pioneering initiative fosters international cooperation, bringing together 34 countries and 18 major firefighting organizations. Beyond education, it also integrates a strong humanitarian component through the “Caravans of Hope” project, which supports developing nations by providing essential firefighting equipment and establishing fire stations to enhance emergency preparedness. This effort not only improves global emergency response capabilities but also strengthens international relations and promotes tolerance among nations.
Through awareness campaigns and a dedicated digital platform, individuals worldwide can register for specialized training courses in multiple languages by scanning a QR code. Upon completion, participants will receive certified e-certificates, accredited by the Global Fire Safety Indicators President and Dubai Civil Defence Readiness.
As the world unites to raise fire safety awareness and highlight the importance of preventive measures, we place great hopes on reaching our one-billion trainee target. A well-informed society is the foundation of a safer and more resilient future for all nations.
