Rostec’s High-Precision Systems holding company has unveiled its Bison counter-uncrewed aircraft system (C-UAS) outside Russia for the first time, at the Egypt International Airshow 2026.
Designed to protect critical infrastructure and counter small, low-flying uncrewed aircraft that can be difficult for conventional air defence systems to engage, the Bison provides an automated solution for detecting and tracking such threats.
The system uses 7.62mm PKT machine guns, with automated capabilities for detecting and tracking uncrewed aircraft and transmitting target data to the machine-gun platforms. The operator’s role is limited to making the final decision to engage the target.
The Bison can operate independently or be integrated into a layered air defence network, providing a final line of defence against uncrewed aircraft.
