The Chinese TB-001 “Twin-Tailed Scorpion”, developed by Sichuan Tengden, is a medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) unmanned aerial vehicle designed for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions, as well as precision strikes.
The UAV measures approximately 10 metres in length, has a wingspan of 20 metres and a maximum take-off weight of 2,800 kilogrammes. It can operate at altitudes of up to 8,000 metres and has a range of approximately 6,000 kilometres, with an endurance of up to 35 hours.
The TB-001 can be equipped with electro-optical and thermal sensors, as well as synthetic aperture radar (SAR), in addition to guided missiles and bombs. The company has also developed upgraded variants offering a range of up to 8,500 kilometres and an endurance of up to 46 hours.
