Dassault Aviation and HarmattanAI have successfully conducted a joint operational test involving the Rafale F4 fighter and an unmanned aerial system equipped with the NAMIB electronic warfare payload.
During the test, the NAMIB payload detected and located an air-defence radar from a distance of several tens of kilometres and immediately transmitted the target data to the Rafale, which then carried out a simulated air strike.
Designed to detect and geolocate electromagnetic emissions, NAMIB can be integrated onto tactical fixed-wing or multirotor unmanned aerial systems. The test demonstrates the application of the manned-unmanned teaming (MUM-T) concept, while enhancing electronic warfare capabilities and autonomous operations in aerial combat.
