According to media reports, members of the British Special Boat Service have been equipped with a new weapon with distinctive combat capabilities. British newspaper “Daily Mail” said it is believed that for the first time, Special Forces were being given a weapon of this type. It added that the pistol is capable of “killing enemies underwater from a distance of more than 30 meters.”
A military source said, “Navy operations men need a close protection weapon, something more effective and powerful than knives.” The Special Boat Service is a unit of the Royal Navy, comprising the most elite and experienced soldiers in the British Army.
