Russian tanks have begun receiving modern anti-drone systems called “Volnorez”.
These systems aim to address the growing threat posed by unmanned aerial vehicles like the Kamikaze drones. This is an increasing concern for Russian tank crews operating in conflict zones, especially in the occupied areas of Ukraine.
The Volnorez system creates a protective shield around the tank, preventing drones from receiving commands or transmitting data.
According to Russian sources, the system operates at frequencies ranging from 900 to 2000 megahertz, disrupting signals from drones at distances exceeding 600 metres.
