Russia Tests New Missile Submarine

Sources within the Russian military have announced that Moscow recently conducted successful tests on a new submarine from the Varshavyanka class of submarines.

During the tests, the crew verified the operation of all submarine equipment and systems, as well as implemented various algorithms for operating the submarine at depth and surfacing algorithms to bring it successfully to the water’s surface.

After completing the diving tests, the submarine resurfaced and continued its operations above the water surface successfully.

Each submarine from the Russian Varshavyanka class measures 73 meters in length and 10 meters in width.

Moreover, it can dive to a depth of 300 meters, sail at a speed of 20 knots and operate autonomously at sea for up to 45 days. Additionally, it comes equipped with six 533mm torpedo tubes and platforms for launching long-range Kalibr cruise missiles.
