The Ministry of Defence signed a strategic partnership agreement with EDGE Group, one of the world’s leading advanced technology and defence groups, on 2 July 2026 to support the organisation of the 46th ICMM World Congress on Military Medicine – Abu Dhabi 2026. Under the agreement, EDGE Group will serve as the Strategic Partner for the congress, which will be held in Abu Dhabi from 9 to 13 November 2026.
The agreement was signed in the presence of senior officials and representatives from both sides. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Major General Staff Dr Ayesha Sultan Al Dhaheri, Executive Director of Military Health and Chairman of the ICMM Abu Dhabi 2026 Organising Committee, alongside Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of EDGE Group.

The partnership reflects the Ministry of Defence’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its network of supporting partners for the congress and expand cooperation with leading national organisations operating in the defence, advanced technology and healthcare sectors related to military and civilian medicine.
The ICMM World Congress on Military Medicine, organised by the Ministry of Defence in cooperation with ADNEC Group, is a leading international scientific platform that brings together senior military and medical leaders, experts, researchers and practitioners from more than 120 countries. The congress aims to promote knowledge exchange, showcase the latest scientific developments, and strengthen international cooperation in healthcare and operational medicine under the theme “Ready When Needed. Resilient When Tested.”
