Türkiye has successfully conducted the first test of the TAYFUN Block-3, marking a significant milestone in the country’s naval strike capabilities and continued progress in indigenous defence development.
The test, carried out by Roketsan, achieved a direct hit against a moving maritime target using a live warhead, demonstrating the missile’s advanced guidance system and precision-strike capability.
The TAYFUN is the largest ballistic missile developed by Türkiye to date, with the Block-3 variant introducing an anti-ship mission to the platform’s operational capabilities. The successful trial strengthens the country’s maritime deterrence posture and provides the Turkish Armed Forces with an enhanced capability to engage hostile naval assets at long range.
