G5 Holding has appointed Marco Tullio Pellegrini to head its Aerospace Industry Division, drawing on more than 40 years of experience in the aerospace industry, spanning aircraft development and manufacturing, programme management and industrial operations, alongside executive responsibilities with international aerospace companies and projects.
Pellegrini spent a significant part of his career at Embraer, where he held a number of senior leadership and executive positions and contributed to the development of 18 different aircraft types across commercial, executive and defence aviation programmes.
His experience covers several stages of the aircraft programme lifecycle, from market assessment and business planning through engineering, development, manufacturing and production to delivery and customer support. He has also led and developed aircraft manufacturing facilities and assembly lines, with responsibilities including industrial capacity planning, operational efficiency and productivity, supply chain management, industrial automation and the application of lean manufacturing practices.
Pellegrini has been involved in the development and implementation of industrial projects and facilities in Brazil, the United States, Portugal and China, adding substantial international experience in industrial capability development, project management and strategic partnerships.
At Embraer, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Executive Aviation business. He later became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of OGMA in Portugal, where he was responsible for activities covering aircraft, engine and component maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), as well as aerostructures manufacturing.
His career has also included board-level responsibilities in a number of aerospace joint ventures, including ECTS, which specialises in pilot and technician training, and a joint venture between Embraer and AVIC in China.
Pellegrini holds both a master’s and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Earlier in his career, he also undertook specialised professional training with McDonnell Douglas in the United States.
