The Higher Organising Committee of the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) and the Naval Defence Exhibition (NAVDEX) 2027, along with the accompanying International Defence Conference, held its third meeting on 9 October 2026 to review preparations for the 18th edition of the events, which is set to be the largest in their history.
The exhibitions and conference will take place under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, from 25 to 29 January 2027 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, the committee reviewed the latest developments in the preparations and assessed progress across the various organising committees. It affirmed that preparations were proceeding in accordance with the approved plans and timelines, with the aim of delivering an exceptional edition that reflects the UAE’s leading position in hosting major international defence events.
The committee responsible for the International Defence Conference also reviewed key preparations for the conference programme, including the list of speakers comprising senior officials, decision-makers and international experts. These efforts aim to strengthen the conference’s role as a high-level platform for knowledge exchange and strategic discussion alongside the two exhibitions.
IDEX and NAVDEX are organised by ADNEC Group in cooperation with the UAE Ministry of Defence and the Tawazun Council. The events serve as leading global platforms for showcasing the latest defence and security technologies, facilitating knowledge exchange and fostering strategic partnerships between national and international organisations.
