Russia has designed a large-sized drone that can perform radar early warning and command missions. It is a radar early warning unmanned aircraft similar to the manned “A-50” (“Doomsday Plane”) and other futuristic aircraft in terms of the missions it performs.
The new drone can achieve radar coverage of a given area, as well as detect all targets in the airspace of that area, including low-flying targets, and report them to friendly air defenses.
It is worth noting that all Russian strike and reconnaissance drones, including the latest “S-70” (Hunter), have a single link to the ground, which greatly reduces the cost of the process of designing and manufacturing drones.
