The US Navy’s Variable Littoral Combat Ship, USS Oakland (LCS 24), has received a new firing unit for its long-range precision strike weapon.
USS Oakland (LCS 24) has completed, at Naval Base San Diego, the installation of the Naval Strike Missile Module (NSM), a long-range, precision-strike weapon that can detect and destroy enemy ships at distances of up to 100 nautical miles.
