India Tests New Ballistic Missile

The Indian Strategic Forces Command has conducted a successful test flight of the next-generation Agni-Prime ballistic missile.

The test confirmed the missile’s reliability and validated its performance per specified trial objectives.

As the 6th missile in the Agni series, Agni-Prime is a two-stage, road-mobile, solid-fuel medium-range ballistic missile designed for ground-to-ground deployment.

Launched from a canister and powered using solid fuel, the Agni-Prime represents a significant advancement in India’s indigenous missile technology.

Primarily intended for operational deployment under the Strategic Forces Command, Agni-Prime features upgrades including Maneuverable Reentry Vehicle (MaRV) capability, enhanced fuel, and improved navigation and guidance systems.
