His Excellency Ali Abdullah Al Ahmad, Assistant Undersecretary for Defence Policies and Communications, received Rear Admiral Hugues Lanier, Commander of the French Forces stationed in the United Arab Emirates and Commander of the French Maritime Zone in the Indian Ocean, as part of the efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed a number of issues of mutual interest and exchanged views on avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation and coordination in ways that advance their shared interests, while reinforcing the longstanding ties between the United Arab Emirates and the French Republic.
