Next-Generation Vehicle Poised to Reshape Battlefield Dynamics

US-based company Textron Systems has announced a $450 million contract to develop the advanced reconnaissance vehicle “Cottonmouth ARV” for the United States Marine Corps. The agreement includes the delivery of 16 vehicles, three integration laboratories, and blast-resistant systems for field testing ahead of full-scale production.

The platform will be produced in three variants: a command, control, communications, and unmanned systems version (C4UAS), a combat variant equipped with a 30 mm cannon, and a logistics configuration. It is designed to support Expeditionary Advanced Base Operations by enhancing mobility and operational flexibility.

The Cottonmouth ARV also features amphibious capabilities and electronic warfare systems, positioning it as a highly advanced platform for integrating autonomous technologies and improving battlefield awareness. This is expected to significantly enhance operational superiority in modern combat environments.
