The Tawazun Economic Council and the Bahrain Defense Force signed a memorandum of understanding for joint cooperation in the field of military industries. The memorandum of understanding stipulated joint work to build complementary relations between the two parties aimed at achieving strategic goals related to the defense and security industries sector.
It is noteworthy that the Tawazun Economic Council, which works to empower the defense and security industry sector in the UAE, has contributed, during its course, to the establishment of about 111 companies and investment entities in more than 12 sectors of various economic sectors, including the defense and military industry sector. It effectively makes efforts to achieve the objectives of the national strategy for industry and advanced technology, to promote trends towards transferring new technology, developing industrial infrastructure, building and qualifying national competencies, and encouraging and stimulating research and innovation in industrial and technical fields.
