China Unveils New Drones

China has revealed over 300 different unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) models, including a flapping wing military drone.

One of the quadcopter drones, able to stay airborne for 30 minutes, is equipped with automatic tracking and positioning systems to guide precise strikes.

The 500g of explosive material carried by the drones is made of TNT. The drones themselves weigh less than 2kg. A soldier’s backpack can carry four such drones.

China also unveiled a new, large multi-role UAV currently patrolling the skies around Taiwan. One interesting drone is a flapping wing UAV called an Ornithopter that can mimic a flying eagle.
