Russia’s T-90M main battle tank has demonstrated its ability to counter attacking unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) during military exercises, highlighting ongoing efforts to adapt armoured vehicles to the growing threat posed by unmanned aerial systems.
The tank reportedly used a new variant of the Arena-M active protection system, designed specifically to counter drones and loitering munitions. The system uses radar to detect incoming threats before launching interceptor munitions intended to destroy them before they reach the protected vehicle.
