Moroccan company ABA Technology has unveiled its Burj counter-drone system at the Marrakech International Air Show 2026. The system features an interceptor drone with a reported top speed exceeding 250km/h.
Designed to pursue and intercept hostile unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), Burj offers an additional option for protecting military forces and critical infrastructure against drone threats. It could also help reduce reliance on costly air defence missiles when countering unmanned threats.
The company also showcased other technologies for surveillance, reconnaissance, ground robotics and artificial intelligence, reflecting Morocco’s broader efforts to develop its domestic defence capabilities.
