EDGE Group has signed a memorandum of understanding with Indra Group to explore the development and production of advanced next-generation radar systems in Brazil.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the LAAD Defence and Security 2026 exhibition, held in São Paulo from 14 to 16 April 2026.
The MoU establishes a tripartite strategic cooperation framework combining Indra’s expertise in radar technologies and systems integration, the industrial and technological capabilities of SIATT, and EDGE’s global reach and advanced defence manufacturing capacity.
The initiative represents a key step towards building an integrated radar production ecosystem in Brazil, enhancing national sovereign capabilities, supporting technology transfer, and creating specialised jobs within the country’s defence sector.
It also reflects the growing strategic partnership between EDGE and Indra, which has expanded since 2023 through joint projects in Abu Dhabi in radar and electronic warfare, alongside plans to establish a manufacturing facility in Spain for loitering munitions and smart weapons. The São Paulo agreement further extends this cooperation and opens the door to broader engagement in Latin American markets.
