Russia Unveils Mnogotochie Anti-Drone Ammunition

Russia has unveiled a new anti-drone round known as Mnogotochie, designed to improve the effectiveness of standard infantry weapons against small, fast-moving unmanned aerial systems.

Developed by Vysokotochka, a subsidiary of Rostec, the ammunition separates into three projectiles during flight, increasing its engagement area and improving the probability of hitting aerial targets. It is available in both 5.45×39 mm and 7.62×54 mm calibres, allowing it to be used with standard service weapons without requiring modifications.

The round has an effective range of approximately 300 metres, making it suitable for engaging low-flying drones. The development reflects Russia’s focus on cost-effective counter-drone solutions and highlights the growing importance of adapting conventional ammunition to meet the demands of modern warfare.
