The UAE National Pavilion concluded its participation in the El Alamein International Airshow 2026 on September 10 in New Alamein City, Egypt, recording an exceptional presence and strong engagement throughout the three-day event.
The pavilion, the largest at the exhibition, welcomed 3,805 visitors and participating delegates and hosted 136 meetings and business engagements. It also attracted 13 visits by senior officials, military leaders, and high-level delegations from participating countries, reflecting strong international interest in the UAE’s participation and the advanced capabilities showcased by its national companies.
The UAE’s second participation through its National Pavilion was supported by the Ministry of Defence and the Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement, and organised by ADNEC Group, a Modon company. The participation reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to strengthening its presence at leading international platforms specialising in aviation, aerospace, and defence, while reinforcing its position as a trusted global partner in advanced technology and innovation.
The UAE Participation
The UAE’s participation highlighted the leading position of national industries across the aviation, defence, and advanced technology sectors. The pavilion served as a strategic platform bringing together participating UAE companies and national entities with counterparts from around the world, contributing to the exploration of new opportunities for cooperation, partnership-building, and the exchange of expertise and knowledge.
Throughout the exhibition, the pavilion hosted 13 visits by senior officials, military leaders, and high-level delegations from various participating countries. These visits underscored the high-level interest in the UAE’s participation and the capabilities, expertise, innovative solutions, and advanced technologies showcased by its companies across the aviation, defence, and advanced technology sectors.
The participating entities and companies also maintained an intensive schedule of bilateral meetings, with a total of 136 meetings and engagements held over the three days.
Promoting UAE Exhibitions
The pavilion also hosted 34 meetings dedicated to promoting the IDEX and NAVDEX exhibitions, 27 meetings to promote UMEX, and 20 meetings for ISNR. These engagements supported efforts to attract international companies and organisations to specialised events hosted by the UAE.
Among the participating companies, EDGE Group held 16 meetings, while Abu Dhabi Aviation conducted 25 meetings. Generation 5 Holding held eight meetings, while Multi Level Group (MLG) conducted six meetings. These engagements contributed to strengthening ties with international partners and exploring new avenues for commercial and technical cooperation.
Partnerships and Agreements
The participation also resulted in the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs). The first was signed between Abu Dhabi Aviation and Air Cairo on the first day of the exhibition, while the second was concluded between Abu Dhabi Aviation and Petroleum Air Services on the second day.
The agreements reflected the pavilion’s role in translating the meetings and opportunities generated by the exhibition into practical partnerships that support cooperation in the aviation sector.
Strong Visitor Engagement
The UAE National Pavilion recorded strong visitor engagement from the opening day. It welcomed 1,037 visitors and hosted 59 meetings and engagements on the first day. Visitor numbers rose to 1,875 on the second day—the highest attendance recorded during the UAE’s participation—alongside 36 meetings and engagements.
On the third and final day, the pavilion welcomed 893 visitors and hosted 41 meetings and engagements, bringing the overall total to 3,805 visitors and 136 meetings and engagements.
The pavilion continued to receive visits from senior officials, military leaders, and high-level delegations throughout the exhibition. The momentum continued on both the second and final days, with further high-level visits reflecting sustained interest in the UAE National Pavilion until the closing hours of the event.
The final figures reaffirmed the success of the UAE National Pavilion in strengthening the international presence of the country’s national industries and companies, providing an effective platform for building relationships and partnerships, and promoting the specialised international exhibitions and events hosted by the UAE.
The participation also highlighted the UAE’s advanced capabilities in aviation, defence, and technology, further reinforcing its position as an active partner in the advanced industries ecosystem at both the regional and international levels.
Air Force and Air Defence Commander Visits UAE National Pavilion and Meets US Official
Major General Staff Pilot Rashed Mohammed Al Shamsi, Commander of the UAE Air Force and Air Defence, visited the UAE National Pavilion at the El Alamein International Airshow 2026, held in New Alamein City, Egypt. During the visit, he was briefed on the participation of UAE companies and the latest products and solutions they are showcasing across the defence, aviation, space, and advanced technology sectors.
During his visit, Major General Staff Pilot Rashed Mohammed Al Shamsi met Major General Ricky Mills, Assistant Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force, International Affairs. The meeting discussed a number of issues of mutual interest and explored ways to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the two sides in the defence and air sectors.
Major General Staff Pilot Rashed Mohammed Al Shamsi also toured the exhibition halls, visiting a number of pavilions of participating entities and companies. During the tour, he viewed the latest systems, technologies, and innovations in aviation, space, and defence, and received briefings on key advanced products and solutions, as well as the latest developments in the aerospace and defence industries.
The visit reflects the UAE’s commitment to strengthening its presence at specialised international events, exchanging expertise and knowledge, and keeping abreast of the latest trends and technologies in aviation, space, and defence, in support of cooperation and partnerships with international entities.
Aerospace Future Technology Symposium Held in Alamein
The “Aerospace Future Technology Symposium” was held on September 7, 2026, in the Historical City of Alamein, Egypt, ahead of the launch of the El Alamein International Airshow 2026. The symposium brought together a wide range of leaders, experts, and senior officials from around the world.
The symposium discussed the latest developments and technologies shaping the future of the aviation, space, and defence sectors, including artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, multi-domain operations, and space technologies. It also explored ways to strengthen international cooperation and partnerships and anticipate future trends that will contribute to the development of these sectors.
Al Fursan Add Exceptional Aerial Displays to Alamein Skies
The UAE Al Fursan Aerobatic Team, affiliated with the UAE Air Force and Air Defence, delivered a series of exceptional aerial displays over the skies of Alamein as part of the El Alamein International Airshow 2026.
