His Excellency Lieutenant General Staff Ibrahim Nasser Al Alawi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence, held official talks with General Nguyen Truong Thang, Deputy Minister of Defence of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, during his official visit to Vietnam.
The discussions reviewed bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries and explored ways to enhance and further develop collaboration in the defence and military fields, in a manner that serves mutual interests and aligns with the aspirations of the leaderships of both countries.
At the conclusion of the talks, both sides witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the field of defence industries, reflecting the commitment of the two countries to expanding avenues of joint cooperation, strengthening partnership in defence capability development, the transfer and exchange of expertise, and supporting opportunities for defence industrial collaboration.
Both sides emphasised the importance of maintaining continued coordination and consultation, and building upon the ongoing progress achieved in bilateral relations, in a way that further consolidates defence cooperation and supports the pathways of strategic partnership between the United Arab Emirates and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
